Pin Trading Book Tutorial

During our recent trip to Walt Disney World the kids (really all of us) throughly enjoyed pin trading. By the end of our trip everyone had a lanyard full of cherished trades and I wanted to find a way to keep the pins safe (they tend to fall off the lanyards), create a memento of the trip and provide a means for the boys to continue trading pins (more should arrive in the post today and I will be using them as encouragement rewards for a job well done ...). Disney sells pin books for just under $50 that are of a nice quality, but we would have filled up one book and there wasn't a way to differentiate each page so the boys would know which page was their property. Adoption Dedication

( image source ) Yesterday I shared our dear friend's good news regarding their adoption finalization which lead me to reminisce the day our boys were finally "our" boys, records were sealed and it could never be undone. What a sense of relief. It was far more than a name change because following our court date we held a ceremony and reception at our church for an adoption dedication to seal our commitment to our children with an unbreakable promise before God. When we adopted our children they were no longer babies, but we wanted to celebrate their arrival into our family in the same way that we would have years earlier. Books of the Bible Wall Art

If you know me in "real life" then you know that I have been working on the renovation of our children's ministry area in our little church. In an effort to get our older elementary kids (4th-6th grade) a bit more excited about coming to Bible Study one of the things we decided to do was give the a "cool" (more grown up) hang out place. Here is the picture of the original space that was being used by our preschool age kids. (Please excuse the iPhone pictures - you gotta use what you got some days ...) We painted (gray - the all purpose neutral) and added furniture for a lounge style feeling (for some reason I really wanted a red sectional and black coffee table - thank you to the inventors of spray paint!).
