Feather Progress

Remember this picture from last week?  Our little red sprouted a back full of pin feathers to begin filling in a bare spot.

Well, our little girl's feathers are starting to pop in palm tree fashion from their pin feathers.   She looks awful right now and runs from any of the birds that try to get near her (especially the rooster).  I imagine that this part of regrowing feathers is quite painful, but she will be a beauty soon.
