I've recently been recruited to make the snacks for all the kids that will attend our Vacation Bible School (VBS) later this summer and I've decided to use the kids as my food quality testers.
Up first ... Fruit Kabobs. When I make them for the VBS kids I will remove the sharp end, but for my boys I like to challenge them to live dangerously. (Really I gave them a stern warning). The fruit kabobs were a success, but I think they liked the peanut butter, banana and strawberry breakfast shake the best.
I considered a small dish of vanilla yogurt for dipping the fruit, but then decided the mess factor was not worth it.
