How To Bathe A Chicken

How do you bathe a chicken?  Well, if you have show chickens you actually use special shampoo and a dryer.  However, if you have an egg and meat producing flock like ours they bathe themselves using dust baths.  I love to watch them take dust baths.  Sometimes as many of 10-12 of the hens get in the dirt and start rolling, fluffing and scratching.

Thankfully, the boys think the idea of using dust to get clean is absurd and haven't tried it yet.
